In addition to the classic protection tests, commissioning engineers have to verify correct operation of all status and interlocking elements in a substation. Typical other tasks that have to be performed are checking SCADA annunciations, burden measurement, CT/VT polarity checking, wiring checking, testing logic schemes, for example with event recording, plausibility check for CT/VT with primary injection.

Many of these functions can be performed by Pro Watts’s commissioning engineers and/or provide the necessary support to a third party commissioning team.
